My little intro

Greetings new friends and bloggers!

My name is Jason, I'm 25 and have recently re-enrolled in school. Before, I spent a number of years learning about life by living in reality (i.e. working and struggling to survive). Eight years or so out of highschool gave me a unique perspective about the value of education, and as a father I have a great deal of motivation to succeed and provide for my daughter. I attended a community college for two years and am now a sophmore student in the Electrical Engineering program. My life goal is to work for NASA as an engineer (maybe even an Astronaut). I'm looking forward to the challenge and with any luck can score an internship in line with my career aspirations.

Some personal stuff about me: I am very opinionated but open minded about things. That may sound crazy, but hopefully the statement will become more clear through the semester. I enjoy a variety of pastimes, I focus on school during the week but find time to read my favorite authors. I try to reserve the weekend for getting outside and hiking, but like most students I sometimes have to use it to get caught up with school work. University life is vastly different than at a community college, however I think I will enjoy the differences. I most certainly like the variety of coeds that are on campus. Always looking at the positive in any situation is one of my better qualities =D

I can't wait to start the service learning project, I'm really excited to actively participate with the Discovery Center program. I've always enjoyed teaching and am hoping this will open a new possibility for me to teach and share what I know with others.

Thank you for reading this. With any luck, you know a little bit more about me so you can read my postings with the proper context.

Respectfully,
-Jason

  1. Hi Jason: It's good to meet. Both electrical engineering and the possibility of working for NASA could be extremely rewarding, so I'm wishing you the best of luck on your career goals. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns this semester, and I'm glad to hear you're looking forward to working with the Discovery center!
