Website/Audience Proposal
1) I think that the audience for my website will focus mainly on high school or college students who are interesting in learning how to be able to work with younger kids and be able to figure out ways to help them learn in a more productive manner. I think that students and maybe even teachers will be most interested in my research because, I will be able to help them find out ways in which science experiments help students learn and will show ways to make learning more fun and productive in the class room.
2) My audience will most likely have some sort of teaching/interaction with younger kids experience and are looking for new ways to make learning fun for those they teach or interact with in their work-type environments. I think that I will just have to show enough background information to provide a good perspective of what types of people should be interesting in my research and my website, but I think it is also important to give a good explanation about how you can become involved and work towards becoming more active with younger children.
3) I think that most of my audience will be directly oriented with my topic because, most of those who are interested in it must have some sort of background dealing with children and finding ways to involve science experiments to help them become more productive learners.
I think that I will lead towards more of an agreement with my website and research, because I think that it is important that everyone at least play a role in finding new/productive learning styles for children and if they do that, then they must at least have some sort of agreement with one another in order to help themselves learn better teaching techniques.
4) Most of my sources have focused mainly on the fact that hands-on-learning is a very productive, fun, and easy way for students to learn without losing interest because the “traditional” style of teaching can seem sort of bland or uninteresting.
I think that all of my sources are pretty much on the same page thus far and all kind of go hand in hand with one another with their thoughts of how students/young children learn the most productively without losing interest.
5) I will establish a rapport with and capture by simply, giving good information about that topic that will allow myself to catch the audience’s attention right away and will be able to keep them interested in my whole website. I also think that using lots of pictures and maybe even some video will help catch the audience and lure them into becoming more interested in my research and will cause them to take a further look at what I have to say. By doing this it will allow me to catch the audience right away and will give them a better understanding of what my website by just taking a quick glance.
6) I think that my viewpoint of my sources is that I would strongly agree that hands-on-learning is a fun way to learn and keep people interested in what they are being taught. So, I would have to say that I would agree with the conversations that my sources have come up with. I believe that hands-on-learning is a more productive way of learning, because from my own experience, I believe that it is much easier to learn something that you are involved in physically, than it is to just be involved mentally.
Tyler: Thanks for posting. I'm looking forward to seeing/commenting on your final draft, which is due next week.
